Noom Med operates legitimately: a licensed clinician reviews your intake before anything ships. Whether it is the right place to start a first course is a separate question.
"Legit" tends to mean two different things when people search it. One is "will I be scammed" — and on that, Noom Med behaves like a legitimate business. The other is "is what I am being sold what I think it is", and that is the question worth more of your time.
Legitimate is not the same as suitable

The five-point check
- Requires a prescription and a clinician review. Yes — Noom Med routes intake through a licensed clinician before anything ships. Any seller that does not is the single clearest warning sign in this market.
- Names its compounding pharmacy. Not publicly. Ask before you order, and ask whether it is a 503A pharmacy or a registered 503B outsourcing facility.
- States what happens on cancellation. Less clearly than we would like. Check the terms before prepaying a multi-month plan.
Worth knowing. What "compounded" means here. A compounding pharmacy prepares the medication against an individual prescription. It is legal and long-established, but the preparation itself is not FDA-approved. Since the shortages resolved the rules have narrowed considerably — see is compounded still legal.
Where it falls short
- Microdosing is not equivalent to the doses used in the trials people have read about.
- Full-dose therapy costs the same as competitors without the price advantage.
Red flags we did not find
