The arrangement

What it does not change

• The rubric, published on how we rate and applied identically to everyone — including where a competitor outscores our featured pick, which we name rather than bury.

What we never take money for

• A changed score, or the removal of a higher-scoring competitor.
• Removing a negative finding.
• Copy written or approved by the company being reviewed.

Why we spell it out
